IRM not only looks at the painful area(s) in question but you as a whole, exploring factors that you may not have thought were contributing to your pain.
Understanding the 'why' is vital to your recovery process and your adherence to the goals we set collectively. That is why education is continuous throughout our time together and with each session you should come away with learning something new.
Long-standing (chronic) conditions bring psychological (emotional) elements with them. These play a significant role in how your pain is expressed. These stressors can be discussed and carefully managed with your consent.
With the information gathered from the Focussed Asssessment and subsequent testing measures, together we will formulate the 'Treatment Plan'.
We will work together to properly integrate your rehab around your work, home-life and hobbies to prevent overlaps.
With coaching and guidance provided we will take incremental steps towards the desired and more importantly realistic goal(s) set by you.
Anything we have discussed in person are sent to you via email the same day as your appointment, getting you started straight away.
By the end, you will have created your Treatment Plan, one that is specific to you and one you enjoy doing; you will understand not just the diagnosis but also the 'why' to your pain, treatment options and subsequently how to manage future injuries.
If you need further support, I have access to competent and reliable clinicians that can assist in areas I don't do.
Support on your journey is valued highly here. Any questions or queries are encouraged and welcomed, I am always just a call away.
Ultimately I hope you leave with a new perspective on how the body works and how it interacts with the world around it.
